A Hollywood Icon Lands in Yucca Valley

Yucca Valley, CA — The Yucca Valley Film Festival is set to welcome acclaimed actor, director, and educator James Morrison for an exclusive Masterclass and fan signing on Saturday, November 8, at the Yucca Valley Community Center. Admission is free, but seating is limited — reserve your spot now at Eventbrite.

For local film lovers and aspiring artists, this is a rare opportunity to meet one of television’s most recognizable faces, in the unexpected setting of 92282, Yucca Valley, in the Californian the Hi-Desert. Morrison is best known for his commanding role as Bill Buchanan on FOX’s global hit 24, appearing alongside Kiefer Sutherland through multiple seasons of the series. His credits also include Twin Peaks (2017) and the cult sci-fi favorite Space: Above and Beyond, a show that celebrates 30 years in 2025, roles that cemented him as a respected presence in both mainstream and genre television.

A veteran performer with more than four decades in the industry, Morrison has worked with legendary filmmakers including Steven Spielberg, Sam Mendes, and Joel Schumacher. His breadth of experience across acting, writing, and directing makes his visit an exceptional moment for a local festival.

Following the 3:00 pm Masterclass, Morrison will hold a photo and autograph session at 4:30 pm, giving attendees the chance to meet him in person and capture a memory of this special event. Bring your DVDs for signature! (we will).

For Yucca Valley, hosting a Hollywood star of Morrison’s caliber is a festival highlight, but it’s not the first time the organizers have scored big. Rosanna Arquette and William Baldwin are among the previous guests of the event’s Masterclass. The seats at this desert fest are in hot demand, and the programmers continue to bring meaningful film experiences to the region, connecting global talent with local audiences in an intimate, inspiring setting. Refreshing.

The Twin Peaks Star Will Lead Yucca Valley Film Fest Masterclass runs November 7–9, featuring screenings, panels, meet & greets, no less than a 20-foot long red carpet, and non-stop community events for three days, celebrating filmmaking talent from around the world. The James Morrison Masterclass is expected to be one of the festival’s most anticipated sessions – and with free admission, seats are filling quickly: reserve your free ticket now.
